Good afternoon Tubman Families,
We have made the decision to close the school through May 1st, 2020. This decision was made with the current information provided by the State of California and our President. Before May 1st, we will re-evaluate and determine if school needs to be closed for a longer period of time.
Next week, from March 30th - April 3rd is Spring Break. We will be closed during this week and will reopen on Monday, April 6th. Our office hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm until further notice.
Starting on Monday, April 6th, we will start our Distance Learning plan. This plan will consist of either online or packet work. Either way, you will not miss instruction. Students are encouraged to participate so as to not interrupt their learning. Teachers will have virtual office hours and provide online lessons and instruction. Teachers will grade assignments and provide valuable feedback for their learning. If you do not have the internet or a computer, please email me. We have partnered with a program Computers 2 San Diego Kids to help. If you wish to pick up a new packet of work, instead of the online method, please contact the front office at (619) 668-8635 ext. 2050 when you are able to stop by the school and pick up the new packet.
To help stay informed, I strongly recommend you connect on Class DoJo and look out for our most current communication. For example, I will provide a Google Doc with all of the phone numbers for our teachers. Therefore, you can make consistent communication.
Finally, report cards are complete for Trimester 2 and we will send out report cards via mail the week of April 6th.
