Hello everyone,
We are closing school at Tubman from Monday, March 16th until April 3rd. As you may know, we partner with San Diego Unified School District for food services. Below is the information provided to share with families in regards to food distribution while school is closed: San Diego Unified will have a drive-thru/walk-up distribution of packaged prepared food. Children will need to be present to receive meals, and each child 18 years and younger can take one lunch and one breakfast for the next day. There will be no congregate feeding. All food will be consumed off site. Proposed meal distribution times for all locations are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Serving locations Seven sites have been strategically selected based on geographic location targeting high need areas – per the USDA, all serving areas need to have at least 50 percent free/reduced-price percentages. We also took into consideration ease of access in selecting sites. * Clark Middle (to act as a production kitchen and serving center) * Cherokee Point Elementary * Sherman Elementary * Zamorano Fine Arts Academy * Kearny High School * O’Farrell Charter * Farb Middle
